Brandsell, Co-Branded & Native Display Ads
Brandsell display ads are digital ad units that vary in size and act as a pure promotion of the advertiser’s brand with no network brand affiliation. Brandsell display ads can run anywhere on the Corus ad network. Ads are usually provided by the client/agency but can be produced by Corus.
Co-Branded Display Ads
Co-Branded Display Ads are digital ad units that vary in size and leverage a Corus network brand. They can promote an advertiser’s sponsorship, contest or promotion which is tied to a Corus network brand.

Co-Branded Display Ad Guidelines
- Corus co-branded display ads CANNOT drive to a website that is not a Corus owned and operated site
- They can drive to a Corus-hosted contest, sponsored content or show page on a Corus owned and operated site
Contest Co-Branded Ads
- This is in reference to ad units driving to a contest website being hosted by Corus with an advertiser
- These co-branded ad units, apart from the Corus network logo, are fully client branded
- As a result of the small amount of available space on static display ad units, tune-in is not required for any show-related contest ad units. Tune-in will be present on the contest site the ad unit is driving to
- There MUST be a maximum separation between the Corus network logo and the advertiser’s logo.
- These ads units do NOT require Corus Marketing approval.
- Copy is provided by the Creative Services web writer and client can provide feedback
Sponsorship Co-Branded Ads
- This is in reference to ad units driving to content being sponsored by the advertiser such as:
- Guide or Vertical Page
- Branded Content Article
- Show Page
- These cobranded ad units will have a “Brought to you by” portion which can sit on, beside or below the main image. This is the only portion of the ad with client branding. The rest of the ad will follow the network brand guidelines.
- Tune-in is required only for ad units driving to a show page
- These types of ads units MUST go through Corus Marketing for approval
- Source of main image varies depending on the type of sponsorship:
- Show Page Sponsorship – images are provided by Corus Marketing
- Guide/Vertical Sponsorship – Stock images are provided by Corus digital content team unless client has provided images to use
- Copy is provided by Client Services but will leverage and editorial copy (example: a branded article headline) and client can provide feedback. However, copy should not sound overly client-focused as copy is coming from the network voice
Production
Cobranded display ad units must be produced in-house by Corus Digital. For ad units driving to a sponsorship, client only needs to provide their logo. For ad units driving to a contest, Corus Digital will leverage the same assets used to produce the contest microsite.
Brandsell display ad units are, for the most part, provided by the client as part of a digital order. However, if client does not have brandsell display ads to run as part of their campaign, then they can be produced by Corus for an additional cost.
Native Ads
Native advertising is an ad format that fits seamlessly within the content of the page, matching the form and function; making it less intrusive to the audience. At Corus, native advertising is available in display and video format.
